Glenn Baux
Clemson Tigers, Helloooooo
This is Glenn's updated Tiger news. I have been doing greeeeaaaat! Since graduating I've been all over the USA,
Japan too. More exciting adventures continue in my life.
To remind you, I am still in the US Navy Reserves and was activated for the War in Iraq. That involved being pulled
away from work in the ICU, a new job assignment at that. I was ordered to Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in California
where I worked the ICU and PACU. After that I went back to traveling as an RN to San Franscisco and now to Santa Maria,
CA in the ICU.
The house I mentioned in the last letter is completed and its a lot of fun. It is a three bedroom, two story Mediterranean
plan home. I have been adding personal touches to it myself, such as a formal back yard garden with a pond, building
wood plantation shutters, painting, and more. It just needs a dog or two now. I am hoping to get two puppy labs
soon, one yellow and the other chocolate color. A co-worker is selling her pups next month.
Although I am still a travel RN, I am planning to stay in Santa Maria area for a while. There is a good reason.
The most exciting news of all! As they say, "save the best for last". Well lastly, the beautiful young lady that
I mentioned in my last letter, Julia, said "YES!" on December 24th 2003. I arranged a special flight over her parent's
farm in Colorado and on the ground was a huge sign to her with the question, "Marry Me?"
We are engaged to be married this summer!
There is sure to be more adventurous news and excitement to come. I look forward to sharing with all of you.
For now I send a few pictures, my love, and best wished. May God keep his blessings in all your lives.

Great to hear from everyone as always!
I am still in school.....I think that is going to be a continuous start to my updates. I am in nursing anesthesia
school at the Medical College of Georgia and will graduate this December. I have completed the didactic work and have
been doing clinical rotations since May 2003. Our rotations are four weeks long and we go everywhere in Georgia.
So far I've been to Fayetteville and Milledgeville with the next few months moving me to Dublin, Athens, Donaldsonville, Rome,
and hopefully Macon (my hometown). I've done specialty rotations in OB and PEDS. So I've been living out of a
suitcase for a while now.
Highlights of this year included continuing our annual beach tradition with Catherine, Sara, Kristin, Shelley, Susan,
Allison, & myself getting together for a Charleston weekend, attending two Clemson football games, and going to the
national AANA convention in Boston where I ran into Beth Brosnan who was also attending.

Everything is going well. I am still living in Dallas, TX with my fiancee Marc. He is still in chiropractic
school here. We are getting married on May 1, 2004 in Manteo, NC. We are very excited and cannot wait for the
big day. I am now working in Forth Worth, TX in the ER. I enjoy it, but hope to transfer to the main trauma center
in Dallas soon! So I can finally fulfill my dream of being a Trauma ER nurse! Wish me luck in this new year!
I hope everyone is doing well!

Hey everyone,
Elizabeth, Connor (4), Joshua (2), Seth (8 months) and I have moved to Alaska with the Army for a three year tour.
I'm now working in a same day surgery clinic. This is the first M-F, 9-5 since I've been in the Army and its kind of
nice to take a breath. Good luck to those of you in school. Congratulations to those of you with new families
and children. I hope that our paths will cross again some day.
If anyone has contact information on Christy Bobo I would love to see how she is doing. Take care. Go Tigers!

John
and I still reside in Chapin, just outside of Columbia. Since March we have been trying to sell our home which we bought
just over a year and a half ago. John got a great job in Spartanburg selling and brokering lumber with United Forest
Products, Inc. He commutes each day M-F which is a bit tiresome, but the job seems promising so he plans to stick with
it. I am stilll working at Providence in the Medical Coronary Care unit. I truly love my job, so when we do move
I won't be too excited about finding another one. I work day shift. We do self-scheduling and I don't have to work
many holidays or weekends. I do occasionally help out on nights which is usually a nice change of pace. In case
anyone is wondering, Providence Heart Institute is a referral cardiac hospital for the Midlands and other areas of South Carolina.
We
have yet to start a family of our own, but my younger sister did have her baby in March. His name is Will and we are
all just crazy over him. Right now he is adjusting to a recent move to Atlanta from Greenville. My last sibling
to be married tied the knot in May to a nurse who is originally from Cincinatti. She works in pharmaceutical sales and
my brother works for Synthese Spine in Atlanta. My twin nephews who were born while we all were in school are now five
years old and in kindergarten--time is just flying by.
Unfortunately,
this past July, my family and I lost my grandmother "Cece" to cancer. She was 10 days shy of turning 89. Cece
fell ill with a bowel obstruction just before my brother's wedding. She had an exploratory lap and was found to have
a strangulated hernia. She never fully recovered GI-wise, but none the less, they also found (starting with an x-ray)
that she had advanced secondary lung cancer. We never explored to see where it started. She told me when she was
diagnosed that she just didn't understand because she had "never smoked one cigarette or touched a drop of alcohol" her whole
life. She went to my Mom and Dad's house on Hospice and died July 14. I am very fortunate to have been able to
spend time with her both in the hospital and at home. This Christmas will be difficult for all of us without her there
physically, but she will be with us in spirit.
I hope
you all have a wonderful Holiday Season and that God will bless each of you in the New Year. Hopefully the Tigers will
pull through in Atlanta!!

I can't believe that is has been another year. I hope that everyone is doing well. I am still working
at Greenville County Health Department full time doing case management for high risk pregnancies. I am also working
at Allen Bennett one day a week in the GI lab with Colleen West. Also, I work prn with St. Francis Work Well doing health
screening in businesses. Lastly, I sell Mary Kay cosmetics on the side. I am still contemplating going back for
my women's health nurse practitioner. It keeps me busy since I only have a 4-legged daughter named Sable who is a mixed
Chihuahua and poodle who has blonde hair and is about 9 lbs that I have had for about one year. I am still dating but
not married so if anyone out there knows of a good guy who wants a wife let me know. All in all, things are well.
Wishing everyone health and happiness,

I'm still working prn in MedSurg and in the education department at Mary Black Memorial Hospital.
Kevin and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in November and what a wonderful 1st it's been! We enjoy living in Spartanburg
and have gotten to know some wonderful friends through our church. We thank God for another year of His abundant blessings.
Hope you all are doing well!

Hey everyone. I'm glad to be found! My husband Mike and I will be moving to South Bend, Indiana this winter
for his work. Only for ten weeks though but not too exciting for me. It is very cold, grey and well, not home.
We are expecting our first child the end of May and are very excited. I currently work at Allen Bennet Hospital with
the Greenville Hosptial System in their GI lab. It has great hours; no weekends, and hardly any holidays. The
work isn't as fascinating as coronary care but I'm getting over it. Mike and I are active in our church, Grace Community
and just love Greenville. Thank you Julie for all your hard work on this project. It is really neat to see what
everyone is doing. God bless you all!

My husband and I are still attending Clemson's graduate program. We will finally be graduating in
May. I can't wait! There is no other news. I'm so glad you are still using your valuable time to keep us
all in touch. Thanks!

I'm still living in Piedmont, SC with my husband Jeff. I'm also still working PRN at Palmetto Health
Baptist Easley (aka. Easley Baptist Hospital) on the Med-Surg/ Telemetry floor. The only real news in my life is that
Jeff and I are expecting our first child on January 29, 2004. The ultrasounds say it's a boy and we are going to name
him Ryan Andrew Kirby. We are both very excited. I'm getting a little nervous to be honest. Otherwise, it's
life as usual although I'm sure our "life as usual" will change here shortly. I look forward to hearing about what everyone
else has been up to.

I hope all is well! I can't believe that another year has gone by! Hussein, Doonya, and I are
doing well! We will be welcoming a new addition to our family in mid-July. We are thrilled, especially Doonya
(who is now 3 years and 8 months!) I'll keep you guys posted with details (boy/girl, etc.) We are still in Atlanta.
I continue working PRN at Emory University Hospital at the medical/cardiology ICU. I can't wait to hear from everyone!

I am still working nights at Greenville Memorial in the Emergency Trauma Center. My job never gets boring and I
am constantly learning. Jerry and I are expecting our first in June. We are quite excited. I seem to be
a little more nervous than Jerry. Hope all is well with everyone. Wishing you a wonderful 2004!

Hey everyone! Brian and I have been married now for three wonderful years and continue to live in Charlotte, NC.
Brian is in his third year, out of four, studying for a master's of divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary. We both
lead the youth ministry at our church in Mint Hill, NC. I continue to work part time on a med/surg floor at a small
hospital in Pineville, NC. And I have also been able to take some classes along with Brian at the seminary. God
bless everyone this year!

Last May, Bryan and I moved to Florence after he graduated from dental school in Charleston. We are enjoying being
back home closer to family. He is practicing in Florence and that is going well. We are both glad that he is out
of school!
I am working at Mcleod in the operating room. It's a lot bigger than Roper so it has been an adjustment, but a
good one. I am on the ENT/oral/plastics team and really like working with the kids. I am working 4 days a week
and love having a day off during the week.

I am still working in the operating room at Greenville Memorial and really enjoying it. Brian has started a company,
SKY energy, providing clean renewable wind energy to companies, institutions, and households. It's exciting and challenging.
We are finally starting to settle into our house now that it's been a year and a half. We are still petless and childless,
but enjoy our 2 year old nephew and soon to be niece. We plan to do a little more traveling this year. Hope this
finds everyone happy and healthy!

Hey everyone! I am finishing up my master's of nurse anesthesia at the USC school of Medicine and will graduate in May!
This past year I have been in clinical--the OR--40 hours/week (I finished my classes last year), and will stay in the OR until
graduation. I have over 700 cases now in a variety of specialties like OB, peds, cardiac anesthesia, etc...I am so ready
to be a CRNA!
The highlight of my year was that I got married on December 13th to David Wilkes, a veterinarian in Columbia! We
honeymooned in Jamaica and will stay in Columbia until after graduation...then we are looking at possibly moving to Athens,
Georgia due to David's job. We'll see--I'll keep you posted! Happy New Year!
